Our Building

Home

In the Summer of 1992, Whitehorse United Church was ravaged by a fire.  (Old building - photo on right) Over the course of the next two years, the congregation embarked on a journey of rebuilding.

Much time was spent selecting architects, deciding on design and construction elements and in the summer of 1994 the congregation was thrilled to dedicate the new building.

Built on the original site, the new building features a sanctuary with pews in a semi circle, a full basement and kitchen (Lewis hall), as well as offices, cry room and choir room (see photos below).

The acoustics of the building were designed to maximize the power of music, prayer and praise.
